Three men alleged to be armed robbers have been gunned down by men of the Civilian Joint Task Force in Jato Aka, Benue state around 2am today.
Apiah Ephraims who shared the sad photos on Facebook reported that one of the robbers is an indigene of the locality identified by the nickname of 'Anini', alongside his two collaborators from Vandeikya local government area were shot dead after exchanging bullets with the Joint Task Force.
He wrote: "THREE ARMED ROBBERS KILLED IN JATO AKA
Three young men caught in the act of robbery by Civilian Joint Task Force in Jato Aka were killed in the early hours of today.The robbers, one an indigene of the locality identified by the nickname of Anini and his two collaborators from Vandeikya local government area were killed after exchanging bullets with the Joint Task Force for many minutes.
The gang robbed many residence's of cash and handsets some recovered from them.However, the gang leader escaped to an unknown destination.The robbery happened 2am."
